My neighbor has learned that the kids and I love our yard critters. She came over tonight with a bucket and asked if we would like to see the turtle she found at her pond before Ed killed it. (Ed = boyfriend) Of course I said "LET ME HAVE HIM!" She said I could have him but not to let him go in our yard since they don't want him at their pond. The nerve! J/K
I didn't want Ed to kill him so we had him for a few hours until I had to pick Micah up from work....then, we took him in his bucket and let him go at another pond. :o) It was fun to watch him run around and if we picked him up he would hiss at us which was definitely fun. LOL we just stayed well away from his mouth, just in case!
I'm still not sure what kind he was....Mike said a Wood turtle but he looks more like a Map turtle to me. I want to find more turtles! (Just not snapping turtles!)
