Dad'n!

Well, my Dad'n has now gone to Utah for the family reunion and took Micah and Colby with him. We had a great visit and I really enjoyed having him here! Mike really likes him as well.
I didn't get sad when he left, I know I'll see him again but just now I was looking in the fridge and found one lonely Diet Pepsi left out of the six pack I got for him and it made me a bit teary. :*) Don't know why that got to me! LOL

Wine!

Mike had the brilliant idea of hitting some wineries while his sister was visiting us so we went to several and found many we really liked. (But of course! LOL)
I told him I just had to get a pic of all my new wines since I doubt he'll ever buy this much again at once! There are 15 of them LOL!

Zoo

We went to the Cleveland Zoo Saturday and had a nice time until we got rained out. :o) Even then it wasn't so bad, we just got soaked!
In this pic, Colby was happy. He was just trying to look cool as usual. LOL
I haven't downloaded any of the other pics yet and WAS disappointed we didn't see any fruit bats which are my favorite!

Slime





We made the recipe Daelyn shared for slime and it's awesome! Jack is having a blast. :o) We chose green and Jack said it's the color of Squidward. LOL

Bat

Mike can spot critters like you wouldn't believe. Bat droppings on the porch = a bat living in the area between our back porch roof and siding on the house. I didn't believe him that the brown splotch he was pointing too was a bat so he climbed up in there and took some pics of it for me. I was so excited when I looked closely too and saw his little wing and leg move! LOL he's cute indeed and probably eats many of the nasty bugs that invade our back porch every night.
Call me crazy but look at his cute little fuzzy head and face! Can you see it? (Head and face on the right, wing on the left.) LOL

Toad!

We just love toads. Micah had just gotten home from a date with her boyfriend and saw this little guy hopping in our garage. :o) She caught him for Jack and I to play with for awhile, then we let him go in our rock garden. Toads are so freakin' cute!

Concrete!

I have been very tired lately. I mean, big time tired.....napping everyday on the couch, laying down whenever possible etc. This isn't like me! I finally put two and two together when the cravings for concrete, rocks, dirt and chalk kicked in. I must be anemic again!
I picked up some iron pills and will see if that does the trick BEFORE going to the doc.....I so hate to go in for every little thing. Now I'll wait and see if it works.
Yesterday Jack opened his brand new box of sidewalk chalk and I told him they smelled V-E-R-Y good. He said "Mommy! Please don't eat my chalk!" LOL :-O

Monster Strawberries!

We are looking for ways to save money and I've found a farmer's market with pretty good deals and yummy things! I let Jack walk through with me and the first thing he did was run and grab a thing of strawberries. These were delicioso! Size does matter. :o)

Patio tomatoes


My patio tomatoes are starting to grow!
I'm not a big fan of Roma tomatoes but these are better than none and they're growing! LOL

Don't you just love it when you can sit out on your back porch in your undies, eating hot dogs and corn on the cob?
Jack was set on eating outside even though we don't have patio furniture yet and eat outside he did! He and the other boys had watermelon out there afterward too. :o) I love spring and summer!

New sprinkler!

Jack found the new sprinkler he wanted and on the first warm day he had a great time with it! The stream of water shoots balls out and he then will hit them with his bat. Fun!

Turtle


My neighbor has learned that the kids and I love our yard critters. She came over tonight with a bucket and asked if we would like to see the turtle she found at her pond before Ed killed it. (Ed = boyfriend) Of course I said "LET ME HAVE HIM!" She said I could have him but not to let him go in our yard since they don't want him at their pond. The nerve! J/K
I didn't want Ed to kill him so we had him for a few hours until I had to pick Micah up from work....then, we took him in his bucket and let him go at another pond. :o) It was fun to watch him run around and if we picked him up he would hiss at us which was definitely fun. LOL we just stayed well away from his mouth, just in case!
I'm still not sure what kind he was....Mike said a Wood turtle but he looks more like a Map turtle to me. I want to find more turtles! (Just not snapping turtles!)
