Ohiopyle Park

We had fun with Mike's friends at Ohiopyle Park last weekend. I chose to ride horses with the kids while Mike went with his crew rafting......I figured I could break less bones this way. After all, you can reason with a horse to be gentle, not the rapids! They gave me the horse that "spooks" but of course, I kept him in line. I love riding horses and hope to have one someday!

Lexi and Marching Band

Lexi is loving marching band! Here is a pic of the rock they painted in front of the high school. (I'm sure the football team painted over it tonight after their first game *sigh*) Lexi says they hate the band geeks but I think they're pretty awesome! I wish I would have been a band geek now! :o)
I'm one of those mushy Mom's that tears up when I hear her band play.....they really do an awesome job!

Jack's Dentist visit

Jack wasn't very happy about seeing the dentist as you can see in the first picture. I was barely able to get him up in that chair! (This may have something to do with the fact that just the day before, Colby had to have 3 fillings done and told Jack all about it LOL)
In the second picture Jack is happy because they gave him a new toothbrush, toothpaste and promised him stickers afterward. :o)
The bad news is he does have a good sized cavity. :o( He is the very first of my kids to have one so young. Guess we'd better cut back on sweets! (And possibly remind Dad to help him brush when I'm working late???)
My phone doesn't take the greatest pictures either I've realized. LOL

Boot Camp

Well, Micah has now officially left for boot camp. I am both excited AND worried for her! She's called me twice now and I could hear sgt's yelling in the background and it sounded horrible. :o( I told her to remember though that everything will be ok and she's going to make it! She is going to call and write as much as possible. This is my first baby to leave the nest and I'm not liking it one bit. I'm excited for her future though and once she's home and starts college I will feel much better. (So will she I'm sure!)
We took a few pics of her with Jack and Colby before she left, then a few more when she was loaded onto the "bus" (which was actually a van) and hauled off. :o( *insert tears here* This is when I cried! Sad but proud Mama! :*)
