Mike has had to do way more on the weekends now that I have a job and he is doing great! Last weekend though I called to ask how things were going and Micah told me that Jack had been crying because Lexi and Mike scared him. *sigh* Apparently, Mike likes Jack to eat his crusts when he makes him a sandwich and had been telling him there was a "crust monster" that would get him if he didn't eat them. This worked for a few sandwiches but then Jack wised up and decided to call Dad's bluff by not eating his crusts. At this point, Lexi took it upon herself to put on the werewolf mask we have and run up to Jack, scaring the crap out of him. Not what I would have done!
Poor kid and besides, he STILL won't eat his crusts!

I just love our trail! We have let at least an acre of our land turn into weeds in hopes that it would eventually grow up and be woods. I may be 70 by the time we have a nice forest but we WILL have a forest! :o) For now, we've mowed a trail all the way around that part that we walk on and take the dogs for walks on. Lots of different plants and bugs to see when we're walking, plus bunnies hopping here and there.

Deb had a chicky as well. Actually, Deb pecked one of Heaven's babies while Colby was out there and he got mad at her and tossed her aside. Then he took one of her eggs and put it under my other sitting hen, Polly. (I guess to punish her?) That night the egg hatched under Polly so I thought it was her baby. Damn Colby! I went out there later though to check on Polly and there was Deb with the baby tucked safely under her! I wonder how she took it back? LOL poor Polly thought she was a Mama!
Again, all of this is so fun for me.
