Canon in Z
http://youtube.com/watch?v=RSCzMT8IMME

Ok, I admit it, this kid has some pretty freakin' weird songs on Youtube but I came across this and was curious.....it's his own version of "Canon in D" which is a lovely classical piece I'd love to learn how to play. After hearing his version and watching him play I was so amazed! This kid has talent! (He's never had a piano lesson from what I understand.)
I downloaded the sheet music and WILL learn to play this before I'm dead. (LOL and it may really take me that long!) I can play the first easy part. :o) I may cut out one part in the middle that gets really messy and sounds like gobbelty gook but other than that it's good to go!
Wish me luck!

Big 'Un
Ok, I know I blogged about my toad friends before but this time we caught the Big 'Un! Isn't he just adorable! (And yes that is his pee all over the cement! I've learned to let them pee first now! LOL) Omg I just LOVE toads! (Too bad he got some pee on my thumb though D'oh!)

Fun

The Honda has been buried in the garage for quite awhile but we finally got it out and running again. I LOVE tearing around the yard in that thing and we made trails all around so we have many options of where to ride it. Here is a pic of Jack when he was waiting for his ride and one of how the trails we made look. :o) We often walk the dogs around these trails as well since it's new for them and fun.

Cherry Eye

Poor Bunny doggy! She looks really sad and forelorn now that both her eyes have this condition. It looks painful but the vet says it shouldn't hurt her. We are having it fixed as soon as possible!

Her nose is covered in dirt because she's the "diggingest dog". LOL we have holes all over where she enjoys digging. :o) She sure is growing too!

Sneaky Jack

I found this very funny the other night although nobody else did and thought I was nuts. Jack helped me set the table and wanted to pass out everyone's hotdog buns as well so I let him. I was doing other things and just let him play quietly at the table until I heard him say "I can't have this one, it's broken, I don't like it." I looked over and noticed he had eaten half his hotdog bun and had mashed it all up, then took the one on Colby's plate and gave Colby the mashed up one! It looked so funny to me! I thought to myself "does he honestly think Colby won't notice this?" LOL When I got the camera and asked him what he was doing with the hotdog buns this was how he smiled. (Second pic) *sigh*

Silly Mike
Mike had a trade show to go to last Saturday and got lots of free samples and looked at a lot of cool things to buy. He came home with this wall hanging. I collect frog/toad things and chicken things so I asked him "why would you get me a bunny sign, we don't even have bunnies. Where will I hang it?" Then he reminded me that yes we do have a "Bunny" since I named her that stupid name! LOL
So, I had him hang it in the hallway where the cat's closet is. It seemed appropriate since Bunny is always running through there! :o) (Bunny also looks just like that when she's jumping except for the long ears.) Mike done good!

Mike has been busy

Mike decided that fall was the best time for planting and bought a whole bunch of shrubs and trees and got to work in his rock border/garden which is in the front of our house. He also finished putting the other dormer up so Jack's room is coming along slowly but surely!

Jack loves helping Daddy with spreading the mulch and planting the ivy. Most nights he's so black from the mulch he has to soak in the bath for an hour!

Toady

This is toady and another reason I'm starting to like living in Ohio. Late at night when I take the dog out for her last potty break there's usually one or more toads hopping around on the sidewalk looking for bugs. I always catch them and play with them for awhile since they are so freakin' cute! :o) I have to watch out though, they sure can pee!

Chicken Buddy!

I have a new chicken buddy! I love all my chickens but there are usually a few that end up having unique personalities and I end up close to them. (Yes, I am friends with chickens! LOL)

I have two Golden Campines that are 5 months old and one that may be a rooster. They both come running to me everytime I come out and they "talk" excitedly. If I hold still for too long I get a surprise as they will jump on my shoulders, back (If I'm leaning down) and even right on top of my head. Sneaky! Their names are Milly and Molly and Molly may end up being Monte if I ever hear "it" crow. Molly is the more aggressive of the two and gets out of her yard quite often to hunt for crickets. Mike came in one day and told me "one of your chickens is out" so I headed out there to put her back. The minute she saw me coming she charged and here I was thinking "oh crap, another Boss!" but she stopped right at my feet and started jabbering away. Being the crazy chicken lady that I am I held out my arm and she jumped right on and let me put her away! I can only imagine what my neighbors must think of me if they witness me walking around with a chicken on my arm or shoulder. :o)
Just now I went out to take a few pics of them and Molly was in the other yard getting bullied by the bigger chickens. All I had to do was stick my arm over the fence and of course she jumped right on. I still don't know how she gets into that yard when there is netting on top of her yard......she gets out of everything!

Boys
Riley and Colby got bandanas at the fair and wore them most of the day when we got home. Jack told them he wanted one too and they all disappeared for awhile and this is how I found them. They actually found a small one for him and took him outside with them to play basketball. Jack was so happy to be just like his big brothers!

First Day of School!

The kids are off to the first day of school! New clothes and new school supplies and all smiles!

Colby is in middle school this year with Riley so he was nervous and excited and changed his clothes a couple times. LOL

I took two pics because Miya wanted in on the action. She was running around like crazy doggy all excited and not knowing why! :o)
