Blog Police!
Well, the blog police got me too so I figured I'd share a few things without pictures as well.
Colby has been quite the character lately. The other day I was wearing one of those baby doll type shirts that looks kind of "70 ish" and Colby looked at me for awhile then said "Mom, that shirt looks like it was from "back then". LOL now when I take the girls shopping I tell them I want some more "back then" shirts since I really like them! :o)
This morning Micah came downstairs wearing an orange shirt and once again, Colby looked at her for awhile then said "orange is not your color". I'm glad he cares about what we wear! LOL

New Bike

Jack finally got the new GREEN bike he's been wanting. He can't pedal yet but likes sitting on it and will learn soon enough!

He also got a bike trailer which is more for me so I can take bike rides whenever I feel like it without worrying about leaving him home. :o)

Just like his Mama
Yesterday I noticed Jack was carrying around a bag with something in it as if it were a baby. He's not real big on stuffed animals so I asked him what he had in the bag. This is what he showed me and said "IT'S MY CHICKEN!" I guess he loves chickens like me! :o) This is the only stuffed animal he takes an interest in.

Nickel

This is my new kitty Nickel. :o) I went to the shelter looking for Luna and told myself if there was a kitty that was declawed, fixed and current on shots it was mine. If Luna comes back (and I hope she does!) I will have 3 kitties now. Nickel's name was actually "Mickel" but since he's light gray kind of like a nickel, we thought we'd better change it. Other than getting sick on the drive home and drooling all over himself (I thought he was dead!) he's doing great and has made himself right at home! I only hope he'll use the litter box.

The one thing that made me want to take him home is how he "kneads" with his paws. Kittens do this to their Mama's when nursing and some cats continue doing it forever. He does it all the time and looks like he's dancing. I just love him to death already. :o) I hope he fits in here.

Baby!

I'm so freakin' excited! I went to check on my hen tonight and she was extra edgy with me....I just knew the egg was probably hatching. Upon closer inspection though I saw the cute little nugget (the chick) peek it's head out from under it's Mama's wing......so cool! :o) I wish I had my camera since it was such a sweet sight (the chick is yellow and black) but of course I didn't even think to take it outside with me. I ran back in to get the camera and tried to get it to peek out again but Mama wasn't letting it. I'll try again tomorrow. I just hope she can keep the other mean hens away from it now! Yay for baby chicky! (This pic is what I got the second time I went out.....that fatness in her wing is the baby.) :o)

Deb

This is my broody hen, Deb. She got off her nest to get some treats so I also got a picture of her three "babies". :o) I'll be surprised if they actually hatch though since Deb is only a year old and has no clue what she's doing. We'll see!

I actually picked one of the eggs up and it felt different than a regular egg. Duh, there's a chick growing in it!!!

PITA

Here is the most recent pic of Bunny. Bunny is BIG now. I can barely take her in and out since she gets so excited and drags me with her on the leash. She really is a huge responsibility...much more work than little Miya, who fully cares for herself except for letting her out and giving her food. We have to watch Bunny constantly since she'll tear up the house or poop and pee it. LOL

Our next project will be making her a run and building her a shelter/kennel out behind the hen house for when we have to leave for half a day. I don't like leaving her on a tie out or in her crate for too long. :o)

Sicky Boy

My little Jack is still sick! I've never heard of having a fever for 8 days straight but today is the 8th day. Here he is on the couch feeling out of it. He got new Lightning McQueen shoes though and those made his day! :o)
